I did find The Superorgansm fascinating. It's amazing the complex actions that can be carried out by simple mechanisms like quorum sensing. It could tell us a lot about our own neurology, I suspect....

I would wait a bit before you do that. This is a great thread and I think it should be allowed to be where people will actually read it for a while before it gets closeted.

Hey Teleutotje, Have you read: Parasites in Social Insects by Paul Schmid-Hempel? I think it covers most of the parasite related faults you mentioned.
